The rest of July

My friend and neighbor called desperate for someone to house an exchange student for 1 week and knew I had a room available. Someone bailed last minute and she had about 4 hours to find someone. I was game and Husband took pity on my friend and gave the thumbs up. Meet Tony! He's 13 and already been on 3 other exchanges. 

The advisor from China came over for dinner that first night to help with any transition. We learned that alapaca in Chinese means goat camel. It makes sense, right?

 We didn't do an adventure one day and painted birdhouses instead. Just as much work as an adventure but no traffic.'

We took Tony hiking to Franklin Falls and invited Lil Sis to come with. Aaron was crazy enough to jump in and swim to them.
