The Story

Hey! That's me! I'm on the internet!

Don't worry, I will be replacing that picture with one that makes me look rockin' awesome. Then I will pretend I look fabulous every day.

I don't.

But let's pretend okay?

Back to the story I suppose. Born and raised in good 'ol Mesa, AZ. Minus 1 yr when I was ten when my family whisked away to Flagstaff so my Papito could be a professor. It was only one short year spent among the pines, chasing deer out of my backyard (well actually I had Bambi dreams of trying to pet one. It never happened. Chasing implies I was trying to get them out when really I just wanted to be a Disney princess and make wild animal friends. And lord it over all my siblings). I fell in love with the city and determined I was going to return for college. I was the kid who made college plans at 10 years old. And followed through. That probably tells you all you need to know about my personality eh?

I had a fabulous time getting my degree in athletic training. I'm on a quest to educate the world that athletic trainers are different from personal trainers so click the link if you have delusions that I train for marathons professionally). I really like working with athletes but found the hours and the stress were too much for the crappy pay. Although if you want me to tell you what's wrong with your shoulder, I'd absolutely love to. However, I do charge a fee if you don't follow my advice. No, not really. But wouldn't that be cool. I need a sign, "Solicited Advice Must Be Followed."

Along the way, I met and caught this handsome fella.

I'm pretty sure I had him at Chrono Trigger instead of "hello." We got hitched in May 2007.

He finished up with degree in electrical engineering while I decided not to fight my destiny of making little money in return for making a big difference. I am one of those crazy fools who truly enjoys adolescents in all of their pimply, awkward, angst-filled glory. It's a long way to say I finished my masters in education and I found myself teaching general science of the chemistry-physics nature for 2.5 years at a junior high.

In Mesa. The last place I ever wanted to return to. Also the place where the husband found a great job in a neighboring city. And the place with tons of family nearby, which will probably keep me here forever. Not a bad place to get stuck though. At least until we get the chance to head somewhere foreign and exotic by some twist of fate. Like Japan. Or Omaha.

This is the Bambina.

And so is this.

J made her appearance in Dec 2010. I left my captive audiences in the classroom for the great adventure of motherhood. Now I blog about our domestic pursuits using run on sentences and fragments. Many of which would make dear Ms. Magarelli cringe because they start with And or But far too often. But that's how we roll. And we like it.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you say hello. Because really, this is all about interacting with those who can say more than "googooga" and "WHAAAAAH!" Of course comments of "WHAAAAH" are still gratefully accepted.
