The latest Bzz Campaign

Again, I LOVE being a bzzagent. This round I received the facial cleanser and lotion for sensitive skin. It didn't irritate my delicate pallor and didn't leave the oily residue cream cleansers typically do on me. It actually dried out my skin a bit more than I like. Not the flaky patches kind of dried out, but more like the "I need some lotion" tightness. Thankfully, they sent me the lotion too. Drying cleanser makes you use more of the lotion? There may be a conspiracy afoot.  I just use it on my t-zone now and my skin is happier. I'm a bit bummed I can't use it on the eye area though, since I typically like something gentle enough I can remove my eye make up with it too. I like the product enough to use it up, but not enough to fork over the extra cash on buying more of it. But if any of you all want to give it a shot, let me know and I'll give you a coupon and a sample of the lotion.

Now the lotion comes in the cutest little dispenser.

Isn't it adorable? I love pushing down the fat little pump. The lotion has a smell that is more like the absence of fragrance than anything else. I'm not a huge fan, but I don't dislike it. It is very light weight moisture and I tend towards products with a bit more weight.  I'm also bummed there is no sunscreen in it. This alone will keep me from buying it. Now I just need my usual Olay to come in a stubby little pump container.

Even though I'm not in love with the products themselves, I love that I got them for free.  So shallow, but it's true.

Night Shots

Alas, this is the end of the Havasupi posts. But these are some of my favorites because I would never be able to take them with a point and shoot camera. Don't be fooled, the giant ball of light is not the sun, but a great big full moon. Seriously people, 2nd week of October is THE time to hike Havasupi. Oh and all the little white spots are stars.

This one is my favorite

This one was a happy accident and also makes it on the favorite list

red light on my headlamp

I love the prickly pear in this one

A few key to night shots if you want to give them a try :

1) Long exposure (some were 2 secs others 10sec)
2) Stable surface (rocks, bridges, branches propped up the camera)
3) Timer (pressing the shutter button shakes it too much)

Downstream

We hiked a bit of the river downstream from Mooney Falls and found even more amazing places.

While taking this shot, my dad said I was doing the wrong angle

THIS is Adam in the garden of Eden :)

The water is so clear you barely notice I'm standing in water

My mom always said pictures are better with people

So I added one
