Roger and Hammerstein's Cinderella

Husband had heard about Cinderella coming to town and had wanted to take J so we splurged and bough tickets to see it at Gammage. We decided to make a whole event of it, dressed up,  and took her to Cheesecake Factory before the show. The Oreo from our cheesecake was her favorite part.

She behaved marvelously through the entire night. I was pretty sure it was going to somehow be a disaster, simply because we spent so much money on it and, let's be real, we are dealing with a 4 year old. Fortunately, we had one of those rare nights where everything works out just as planned.

We headed there really early to get good parking and I was so upset I didn't have my good camera. I mean, Gammage architecture, my dressed up daughter wearing my jewelry, holding hands with her dad, nothing but time to kill, AT MAGIC HOUR! Such an opportunity and I"m stuck with my cell phone.

Half way through the first act she leans over and asks me, "When is it carriage time?" This girl was bored and knew it was time for the story to skip to the fun part :) The costume changes were so neat and blew me away, but J just took that kind of magic in stride. Cinderella spun in a circle and was suddenly in a ball gown, but J thought it was no big deal. I mean, duh, it's magic Mom. She enjoyed the fox and raccoon puppets, and really hoped they were real.

Then she passed out about 15 minutes before the finale :)

I thought about taking my girls, instead we went to the new movie. Not nearly as special. PS You look awesome, phone camera or not!
