Even though they are silly little 8th graders and much more annoying than 9th, they can still have some wit.

Student who gives me hope for humanity: oooOOOoo she called you a jerkface!

Me: No, I said, "Don't be a jerkface."

Student who gives me hope for humanity: oooOOoo she implied you were a jerkface!



And later I heard this little nugget of junior high humor


"You dad is a homogenous."

Quotes mean much more when they are spelled correctly.
Although I still remember the girl in 7th grade who thought Noone was a name pronounced (noo-nee) on our editing worksheet. In that case, the quote takes on a whole new meaning.
