Remlinger Farms

It's little kid paradise y'all. First stop, u-pick raspberry farm. M3 camped out by the basket and wouldn't move.

M was a great picker even if he didn't want to smile.

Kathy G and her daughter Hailey joined us for the adventure.

There is a really cool amusement park right next to farmland and there was a groupon, so why not?

$10 admission and there were pony rides?! So worth it.

I was a little nervous for them to try the roller coaster because it seemed too legit for their age, but they LOVED it.

Finally, big enough to ride a ferris wheel.

 Old timey cars on a track were very peaceful

 This boy is always up for a train ride.

 I love how she tilted her head.

It's less effective when you don't look at the camera.

 We stayed waaaaay too long, but there were almost no lines for anything and it was the perfect scale for their ages. We'll definitely be going back.

4th of July and more summer adventures

Crap. It's October. That was fast. So here's the photo dump

We set up the slip and slide for the 4th and the Huangs and the Duncombs came over to enjoy it with us. Didn't snap any pictures of the Duncombs though.

We bought some supermarket fireworks and didn't launch most of them. Supermarkets sell fireworks that are WAY more dangerous than they do in AZ. We were too scared of starting a fire because things were launching 30 feet into the air. The sparklers were fun though.

The alpacas weren't bothered by any of the noise.

My decorative grasses were actually lilies! Just when I thought I'd seen everything bloom, these guys delighted me.

I thought these were fern shrub things with aloe-like blooms until they opened into flowers. It's called crocosmia and I love them.

My friend Constance put on a tennis camp for three days so I signed J up. I think Constance is a saint for doing it for 10 kindergarteners.

We went to Juanita beach park with the Riddles and Galentines.

It was a bit windy, but still fun

I'm a sucker for fancy ice cream so we had to check out Snoqualmie Ice Cream with Lil Sis and her family. They list the butter fat of each flavor so you can gauge the creaminess.

"I'm a unicorn!"

My buddy Matt Roland was in town performing with Rebekah Rolland Trio. They were doing a house concert so he got me an invite. The music was phenomenal and reminded me how great live music is. It was total worth a semi-awkward potluck with people I didn't know.

The longest day of fun.

We started the day out at the Seattle Children's Museum. This buckeroo is finally old enough to enjoy it.

I think they spent half an hour playing with these bones.

Then we met up with Pamela et al at the big fountain.

This is what a selfie looks like trying to fit three kids in. The whole goal was to try and fit the iconic arches in of the science center. Oh well. That was our next stop.

Soon my babies won't fit into the dinosaur print.

This time J just made the baby look at the picture.

Butterfly dreams do come true! This girl finally had one land on her. Then after I took the picture one landed on me and another on M3. Then I had to try really really hard to keep the baby from ripping the wings off the creatures. I kept trying to shake them off but of course they didn't budge.

This was by far the baby's favorite spot.

 After this we ate some overpriced science cafe food because there had been waaaaaay too many adventures. Then we rode the monorail to the Westlake center and bought entertainment and provisions so we could meet Husband at the timbuk2 store. He won a free custom bag and gave it to me! I couldn't help but laugh as I was picking out the options. My kids were literally eating a box of pocky.

You've got to love it when stuff hits you right in the demographic.

Then we went to facebook for dinner. Longest day of all time. We survived it though and enjoyed most of it.

Smores Party and Alpacas

We invited a bunch of friends over to eat smores and meet the alpacas. 

This is how Alpacalips got his name.

I've forgotten how fluffy they were.

Right now the brown one's name is Glen Coco, like from Mean Girls.  You go Glen Coco. He's my favorite animal because he lets me harness him and then tolerates being pet.

I love these creatures! They are seriously so fun.
